Fireplaces??

Wood-burning, cosy, and available for sitting around with a hot toddy.

There *must* be a pub or two in town that have one?

My favourite spot for exactly this vibe is the Roof Lounge of the Park Hyatt.

      +1 for the Roof Lounge.

Le Papillon on the Park has a nice fireplace and it's a great spot for weekend brunches. You never feel rushed and the food is very good. Lovely atmosphere, very quebecois.

I was only there once this past summer but doesn't Queen and Beaver have a fireplace? I find that upstairs room, especially those couches in the middle, to be very cozy.

Yes they do! Good call. That would be my pick for sure!

There's a wood burning fireplace at The Blake House (ex-Red Lion), but I confess I've only eaten on their patio since they opened, so I don't know what the seating is like near the fire. I do know they kept the fireplace after the major reno.

C'est What on Front. They also happen to have a great beer list. Food is just ok IMO.
