Irvine SAM WOO Seafood Restaurant?
Dim sum is quite bad. The food for the most part was either overcooked or undercooked. Har gow was horrible. Lotus wrapped rice was slimy. Egg custard tarts were ice cold - right out of the fridge! Beef rice noodle was like chewing rubber. Shiu mai was overcooked to the point of being bone dry. Siao ling bao fell apart as soon as it was tried to be removed from the steamer. Lotus buns were as big as baseballs, and tasted no better.
My only solace was that dim sum was my first (and only) meal there. The fresh seafood looked very appealing, but I doubt the chefs would know how to cook it.
Haven't had a banquet meal there, so I can't speak for how good or bad it might be, but have often had lunch and dinner, and have rarely been disappointed. Perhaps you can visit beforehand and try some of the dishes that you will likely have at the wedding banquet, to get an idea of whether their food quality is up to your standards for a banquet.
