Cocktails in Carmel/Monterey ?

honkman Dec 5, 2010 10:03 PM

We will be for two days in Monterey/Carmel next Friday and Saturday. We often like to go for a cocktail after our dinner. Are there any (cocktail) bars in in this area which are open late (12 am ?) We searched but couldn't find anything.

Yes. Passionfish and Marinus at Bernadus Lodge. It will be the last part of a 2.5 weeks culinary vacation through SF and the wine country before driving down to SD

Pacific's Edge would be very nice, we also love The Sardine Factory. :)

Mission Ranch or Rio Grill? Mission Ranch has a rather lively, local piano bar following. More romantic, Pacific's Edge. I think they have jazz on the weekends, but I don't know their hours.
Where are you staying, Carmel or Monterey? Might not want to stray too far from "home" after dinner and drinks.

We are staying in Monterey this time but have no problem to drive to Carmel for a good cocktail.
