"casual and energetic" restaurant in dupont?

  • 6

I have to put together a dinner for a group of work colleagues (who are all men) on Tuesday night. They are meeting in the Dupont Circle area that day so I need to pick something withing walking distance of their meeting. My boss' only directives were to find a place that is "casual (but still appropriate for a work group) and energetic." Any ideas? Thanks!

      But they don't take reservations.

    2. Sette Osteria would work for the group. Good pizza and pasta options and large enough that they can take a group without an issue.

      1. I have not personally been, but a friend had a team dinner at the Mad Hatter when he was in town for a conference and thought it was perfect for a casual work dinner. And it's really close to Dupont Circle - not even a block S on Connecticut.

Actually the burger at the Madhatter was pretty good when I had it. But it can get a little loud in there, especially during Happy Hour.

        2. Lauriol Plaza. They don't take reservations but on Tuesday you shouldn't have a problem. There are a lot of haters on this board just because it's cool to down Lauriol but the food is perfectly good, and they have some really great Peruvian dishes I have only found while I was in Peru.
