How can I make the Chow mobile website go away forever and ever and ever?

Here's the deal.....

I have my Chowhound "Mr Taster" profile page bookmarked on Opera Mini.

Oh, a new reply! I tap on it.

I am taken to the mobile chow page. I do not want the mobile chow page, because it doesn't show what the new message is.

I tap on "go to chow.com"

I am taken to the chow.com main page.

I zoom in and click on "Mr Taster (View Profile)" in the upper right.

I am taken BACK to the page I originally had bookmarked.

Oh, a new reply! I tap on it.

Now I can read it.

How can I avoid playing this ridiculous game every time I visit chowhound from my mobile phone?

Get rid of Opera. I use an Android phone and the Dolphin browser, and haven't looked back.

Unless you're using Blackberry or WinMo? Used to have Opera on those platforms too, and ditched all of them for Android + Dolphin. Don't know about Opera for iPhone, but I can't imagine it's any different.

Wow, thanks professor! I just got this android phone a week or two ago, so I'm still figuring it out. writing this on dolphin now. it completely bypassed chow mobile site by default! now if I could only figure out how to backspace without deleting...

I pity the fool that uses Opera, Mr. T. The only feature of Opera Mini I liked was the way it opened w/ the shortcut buttons to my favorites. But there's a Dolphin plugin that replicates that.

I have a Droid 2 and its slide-out keyboard has physical cursor buttons, so the backspace issue isn't a problem for me. If you have a Droid X, read about the zoom cursor feature. Not sure if non-Motorola builds of Android have the zoom cursor feature or not, so this may be moot for you?
