Benetis Athena Greek Restaurant, Durham

  • 2

I was driving on Hwy 55 today and noticed the sign for a Greek restaurant, Benetis Athena, on Hwy 55 in Durham (same shopping center as Thai Lana and Papa Mojo's). Has anyone tried it?

  1. Is it called Benetis Athena? I know there is a place called Benetis over by some Picnic Basket place. My parents have been there for breakfast and liked it. It's been around for at least 3 years. I always thought it was pronounced Ben netties.. but apparently I was told it was pronounced Ben-ee-TAHs.

    1. I've only been there for breakfast in October this year. They serve American style breakfasts, similar to Brigg's in the Park in the same shopping center. I had Benetis's pancakes and they were delicious- light and fluffy. Of course, they were far too big for me and I ordered two.

I'm thinking the food must be somewhat good judging by how busy the place was. So many diners on a weekend day (can't remember if it was a Saturday or Sunday).

I like Brigg's very much too. Compared to IHOP and Waffle House, the breakfast food at Benetis is suprerior. Prices seem reasonable for the quantity and quality. Service is good too.
