Best Beef Stroganoff in L.A.?

Any recs hounders? Had it at Ford's Filling Station and was thoroughly unimpressed. The dish has such potential to knock socks off but I rarely see it executed to the 9s it deserves.

  1. I have no idea whether they are the best, but both Smitty's Grill and Cafe Bizou offer beef stroganoff on their menu.

    1. Try Robert's Russian Cuisine or Roubos Place in H-wood. Both serve an old school Russian version which is cream sauce and beef over fried potatoes and rice. Its different but tastes amazing. If you want a more traditional American version then I would try Warsawa in SM, their's comes with dumplings as opposed to noodles though. If all else fails there is always hamburger helper ;)

I guess I'm used to the American version but the old school sounds incredible! Thanks for the recs and let's none of us use the Hamburger Helper. okay :)

      2. Go to Warszawa in Santa Monica; their stroganoff is served with spaetzle.

        1. Mine is the best. But I rarely make it (only for dinner parties). But Warzsawa is pretty satisfying. (it's one of my favorite hangover/comfort food meals).
