Vegetarian in Tulum

I'm a vegetarian (no fish, no meat, cheese and eggs are ok) and have mostly eaten at Zamas and Maya Tulum when I'm in Tulum. It's been about a year since I've been. Are there any other veggie friendly places of note there? Thanks!

Along the beach - try Las Estrellas at La Luna. They have nopal enchilada that is great plus a few other items. Try the pumpkin seed dip called Xiuclapak (I know I spelled it wrong!).

Farther down, La Zebra has good salads and a veg empanada is you get tired of the one at Zamas.

UNO should have some veg food, but I haven't stopped in there yet.

OM has good pizzas (just as Zamas does).

In town, La Nave is great if you want Italian.
I don't recall Don Cafetos having anything veg on their menu other than nachos and even then the beans and rice can be suspect.

If you find yourself vege depleted, pop into Flor de Michoacan and get a Palenque juice...full of chaya and recharging. It's across from the bus station in town.

Charlie's and Don Cafeto, both on the main drag, have veggie friendly entrees, as does the restaurant across from Charlie's - can't remember the name, but the menus are all in Spanish. El Tabano, which is my number-one-absolute-top-favorite restaurant (up the beach road past Zamas, on the opposite side) usually has at least a couple veggie apps that you could eat as entrees if you double ordered. There's a good Italian place (really!) on the main drag in town also that has vegetarian pasta and pizzas.

We'll be there in January - can't wait!
