No, but I'm wondering if they'll have Godzilla rolls.

I noticed some signs of life (and signs of a sign) last time I drove by, but now we know what's coming.

It's probably one of these: http://www.hokkaidoseafood.com/

I never had the Lucky 3 buffet because there was always too much shrimp (I'm sometimes allergic) and not enough other things I liked that could justify the price. If the local one has the selection of the California branches, it might be OK. Reviews were generally favorable for the quality and variety of food, lousy for service, but what can you expect since it's a buffet?

I'm always amused when people complain about service at a self-service restaurant.

One of the comments I read in someone's review was that as soon as a waitress sees you in the dessert area, they bring your bill. He wanted to get some of the (of course they have it) soft-serve ice something to cleanse his delicate palette between courses and when he came back from his next food station there was his bill on the table like they expected him to get out. Personally, I'd prefer that to having to sit around waiting for the bill if I didn't pay up front like in a couple of the local Asian buffets.

I drove past today and saw the sign - yup, it's the same logo as the link I posted, so I guess it'll be similar.

Mike's link actually reminded me of a seafood buffet/cook to order in Bangkok which was pretty darned good! If it is less than $18 per person for dinner it would be well worth the price if the food is fresh and well prepared. $20 maybe. It is only $17 in CA for dinner, and $10 for lunch, which would be a great deal for this area, again, if the food is fresh and well prepared.
      I am intrigued!

Drove by yesterday to see if they were open yet but there is paper on the windows still. Stood on tiptoes to see over it and they haven't even begun to refinish the inside, though there were at least 2 guys at work.
I am looking forward to this place opening but it doesn't look to be happening too soon.
