San Diego hounds in Whistler

We're heading to Whistler around the holidays and would appreciate some restaurant recommendations. We enjoy most types of food and are looking for good food in a casual atmosphere as we'll be with our two kids most nites. Sushi? Brewpubs? Also, what would be good for one nite out with no kids. $$ not a concern. Many thanks and happy holidays.
