Oton serves lunch starting today!

This just in, according to Yuyu Oton is now serving lunch. They have sea food bowls, Vegetable bowls, Meat bowls, and Udon/Soba. Prices is very reasonable like Okan, ranging from $6.50 to $10.50 for their lunch set. Miso tea and a side are included.

Really liked the food, and great tea. I tried grilled chicken, gizzard, and quail eggs. All very good, I especially like their grilling which is similar to yakitori style My friend got the sardine and avocado bowl, which was real unique and also great.

There is a $20 minimum for credit, and the location is next to Shogun's and the courthouse on Clairemont Mesa (go east past Convoy for a few blocks and turn left).

I imagine cstr and dantaat will be showing up in no time to add their thoughts. ;-)

:-). How crowded is it at lunch? Will have to check them out over Xmas break! Are they open for lunch just during the weekdays or also weekends?

I'm guessing just weekdays if it's anything like Okan. Not crowded yet, since it's the first day and I literally found out 30 minutes before I went. My wife text messaged me the scoop!

is it the lunch menu from the week or is it the full dinner menu?

It is the lunch set ($6.50) and you can add on ($3-$4.50) a protein. No credit cards at lunch, etc...
