hong kong memories? foggy at best

i spent two days in HK seventeen years ago while waiting to get my china visa and ate a hallucinogenicly hot indian meal on a crowded street that alternated with restaurants and strip joints... the memorey of the meal has... well... grown... but the actual details, like where i was, have long since burned away in the fire that melted the walls of the narrow two-sided restaurant, my lingering hallucination... i think about this meal when i get cold...
i remember taking the star ferry, walking uphill and passing a convenience store on my left...

the restaurants name... does it still exist?

    Which direction did you take the Star Ferry? The only place that I can think of where restaurants and strip joints alternate is Lockhart Road in Wan Chai, but there isn't much "uphill" there.

      Sounds like you got drunk in Lan Kwai Fong and ended up in Wanchai. More or less a normal night out for many people in this town.
      No idea about Indian joint.
