Chuck Hughes from Garde Manger Opening New Restaurent in Old Montreal?

I overheard a conversation in which someone said Chuck Hughes from Garde Manger is in the midst of opening up a new restaurant east of the current restaurant on St. Paul in Old Montreal. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Another success story in old montreal by Dr Hughes :) !
Secluded for now but great indoor and outdoor venue, music playlist " a la chuck" , good and reasonable wine selection , lots of selection to share , don't miss the "lobster parfait" (to die for )as well as sea bass on edamame, finshed with strawberry snowcone desert.
oysters etc of course...will need to jog off this calorie extravaganza . staff of course superb !

Hey drsmiles, would you mind sharing the name and address of this new place?

Apparently called Le Bremner - "kind of a 'seafood diner,'" Chuck says in a Facebook post.

The restaurant was named after a vintage sign found during renovations.
The address is 361 Saint Paul West and much like the Garde's no signage, the street entry entry reads simply RESTAURANT, although the back terrace access is possible through the alley to the Auberge
          Its no diner................

Is the price range pretty much the same as Garde-Manger's?

So it's east? I'd heard that it was in front of Marché Bonsecours, but if you say East, that would place it around St-Pierre street? Is it in the building that's been in renovations forever at the corner of St-Paul/St-Pierre?

The dividing line for St-Paul East and St-Paul West is Blvd. St-Laurent. Marché Bonsecours is east of that, and St-Pierre St. is west of it.

Umm...L'Express and Club Chasse et Peche for starters...does Garde Manger even have a sign - they didn't when they first opened IIRC...

I don't think Garde Manger has a sign.

L'Express has the name of the restaurant embedded in the stone outside, if I remember well.

                          -----
                          L'Express Restaurant
                          3927 Rue Saint-Denis, Montreal, QC H2W2M4, CA

Yes they do, the stones on the ground, so it's hard to find only in winter :)

I've been watching Chuck's Day Off and am so inpressed by his food, his expertise and the assured and confident way he cooks while explaining how/why he is doing what he does. He really is a star. We live in Massachusetts but love to travel to Montreal, it is a stunning and wonderful place to visit, everybody is so friendly and very nice and welcoming, you Canadians have a lot to be proud of. On our next visit we will be sure to check out where Chuck is cooking.

I can shed a tiny bit of light...it is on St-Paul East near the Bonsecours Market and will be open for lunch as well as dinner. Nit sure what the type of cuisine will be.
