Private Dining/Discounted Prices

I am planning a birthday party with 24 expected guests and have begun exploring some nice rooms. I am struggling to stay within my budget due to the cost of the expected wine consumption. I am estimating I will need up to 20 bottles and the restaurants I am intersted in do not have any interesting wines for under $50/bottle. Would it be reasonable to request the restaurant to discount the price of their wine, and if so, by what %.................Tx....JKFinally

You might ask the restaurant whether you can bring your own and pay their corkage fee, if that's an option. That would make it (theoretically) easier to pay less than $50/bottle.
