YYC South Centre area lunch spots
For the first time in 10 years after moving to NW Calgary I am headed to South Centre this weekend. I am looking for a non-chain lunch spot in the vicinity (preferably south of Heritage Drive) - ethnic food suggestions welcome. Tu Tierra is the one place I have been in the area so I would love a different suggestion. Any hidden gems around there?

Not ethnic but a little different at any rate. If you're heading all that way take about 15 min and head over to The Ranche at Fish Creek Park. A bit of a splurge but worth it especially before/after dealing with the Christmas shopping crowds. http://www.crmr.com/theranche/pdf/The...

Crave’s Cupcakes – Willow Park Shopping Centre, obviously not lunch but a snack.
Pies Plus – does soup, sandwiches, quiche as well as pies, CASH ONLY,(really!!!) Avenida Centre just south of Southcentre.
Mina’s for pho – not bad pho, busy place – Avenida Centre near Original Joe'sWhile not restaurants, Springbank Cheese Co. and Northsea Fish Market are also in Willow Park. beside the large Willow Park Liquor Store.
