Anyone know where to find higher quality filled donuts? Not the kind that are filled with that canned sickingly sweet "goo" ?

Byerly's St. Louis Park just started making them this year. I tried them today and they are yummy - not filled with goo, they are filled with seedless raspberry jam. They come 4 in a pack...I think they are $3.99?

cramcrkr, not sure if you already tried Donut Cooperative but they just posted on facebook that they are doing sufganiyot! let us know how they are if you get them..

I just checked and unfortunately they don't deliver to where I live. I may try the ones at Byerly's SLP if I get out there... anyone have any thoughts on Byerly's donuts?

cramcrkr, can't you go pick them up from the donut coop people somewhere? do they have to be delivered to your home? weird....I'm so sure they would be worth it...

I went to their facebook page and it said until they find a store location they are only delivering.... I settled with Cub donuts... which to be honest I think would be borderline amazing if they used higher quality fillings and icings... the donuts themselves melt in your mouth.

Byerly's normal (not Kosher) donuts are made at a facility the night before and then trucked to the stores overnight. So, at any Lunds/Byerly's store has basically day old donuts. They are night old I guess you could say.

The donuts for Hannukah are Kosher and fried on site and very tender and good. There's been good reviews of them from what I've heard in the store. The filling is quite good too! I think they're only available at SLP, but if they are at other stores, they were made at the SLP store.

That is really helpful info.... I may have to stop at Byerly's SLP after class tomorrow for a fresh donut!!
