Broadway fire

Which 5 businesses? The current version of the article doesn't say which, but it looks like it is someplace near Peaceful restaurant?

      Update from the Sun:

It appears from that article that the fire is at Sha Lin Noodle House.

        More update:

CTV says it started in Japas Bistro and spread to Sha Lin Noodle House and Loving Hut Green Cuisine.

It looks like Peaceful and Elysian Room are fine, phew!

              Phew too.

But I'm sure Sha Lin, Japas and Loving Hut (and their customers) will be having some tough months ahead.

And Pho Kim Penh Xe Lua & Ro Sushi too.

I'm a big fan of Loving Hut and this hits me hard.

Had a close look this afternoon-the fire raced across under the false ceiling easily breaching whatever separated each eatery.

And Yes while some places don't look too bad it'll be difficult and slow to have everything fixed/permits in place/reopen with a few months.

Given how tough the business is I imagine some may never reopen .

Indeed - Phew! Peaceful was open and serving dinner as I passed by this evening. Elysian is a separate building and is fine.
Loving Hut is sure a loss - I'm working in the area this week and had hoped to have lunch there one day. Sigh :-(

Elysian is definitely all ok. popped in tonight for a cuppa. The fire didnt look that bad from my drive by view. Definitely no where as bad as the fire from happend a few years ago. wonder how much water damage though?
