I'm considering one of the Hotel Del's restaurants for a holiday dinner, even tho I am generally opposed to eating at hotels if I don't have to. Any other suggestIons, maybe something with lights, fireplace, and maybe a decorated tree?

Mille Fleurs in Rancho Santa Fe and The Inn at RSF are lovely with fireplace and intimate enough for a wonderful holiday dinner.
Addison at the Grand Del Mar resort is gorgeous and would be my choice for dinner vs. the Del.

San Ysidro Ranch has lovely fireplaces at Stonehouse/Plow & Angel and perfect for that holiday dinner if 2fat wanted to venture up to SB area.

Although it has been a while for me 1500 Ocean at the Del is very good and not at all "hotel" food. AR Valentine at the Lodge might also be a nice choice.
