Help. Need ideas for a family visit from out of town

My 2 nieces and 2 roommates are visiting next week. With me, that makes 5. They are all in their mid-20s. 5 people makes it a 'large party'. I want to take them out to dinner on a Friday night in December (the 10th - kind of short notice) I couldn't get into Standard Grill, Little Owl (I know - tiny place) or Maialino. Any other suggestions that would be fun and impress the kids from Minnesota?

One idea is Metrazur on the balcony in Grand Central. Certainly an only-in-New-York spot, and this time of year the station is decorated for the holidays, and the ceiling light show should be running.
