So I've been doing some digging around because we've been craving soup dumplings since we had them this summer in NYC. Every indication is that Dim Sum is the only place in town where you can get them. And evidently, Dim Sum's aren't very 'soupy" but are good.
The post I attached really makes me want to go there. I couldn't go early last year when they had that Chowdown but would have loved to because for some reason, I'm slightly intimidated about going to Dim Sum without someone who really knows what they're doing/ordering. My daughter has a cause for celebrating and I would love to take her there this weekend, but once she realizes it's right next to Pho Hoa, she'll want to go there because, after all, it's "her" reward.
Let us know if you find any.

I found Dim Sum somewhat intimidating too, on my one and only visit. I didn't really know what I was ordering and felt like I was somehow missing out on the good stuff. I also don't remember seeing soup dumplings on the menu, and I don't see them on the menu online at Urbanspoon. But you did have them at the Chowdown?

I wasn't able to attend but if you look at the OP in the link I pasted, she mentions steamed soup dumplings.
