Gobo Sushi at Christie and Melville

Gobo Sushi opened last week. It replaces a Chinese place with Ginger in the name.

I ask because I live in the neighbourhood and it would be super convenient for a quick dinner. I guess we don't really need it now that we have Sushi Couture. Rikishi too. It would be good to know if Gobo is any good, however.

Gobo Sushi - an improvement to the Chinese restaurant Ginger.

Food is decent and done nicely.
Basics are sound, clean plates, relaxing ambiance and not a whole lot of cheezy decoration. Food is priced well and service was fine. I haven't ordered anything adventurous but food is pretty good for what i've managed to eat.

I've tried it (it's close to me) and it's decent. Did not order adventurously but the basics were fine.
