Garmisch: any recommendations?

We will be in Garmisch next week (December 5-8)) on our very first trip to Germany, I am looking for good recommendations for dinner or lunch, but not at a fancy place. We are interested in more of a non-touristy type of place. Can anyone give me some suggestions?
Where will you be staying in town? One of my favorites is the Gaststätte Zum Wildschütz on Bankgasse just off Marienplatz; even though it's so central, there are usually no tourists in there.
There is also the Husar Restaurant, which is a block or two away from Marienplatz. I've never gone there but I walk by it to my German classes, and it always looks inviting:
You can translate the site using google's language tools.
If you'll be near/in Partenkirchen, try the Zum Rassen and/or the Gasthof Fraundorfer.
I'm back! Thanks for the Zum Wildschutz recommendation. We went there on our last night in Garmisch, and it was one of the best meals we had during our entire stay in Germany. The waitress was absolutely charming (her name was Jessie), and took very good care of us, from wine recommnedations to entree selections. My husband an BIL had the venison steak (at her suggestion), and raved about it for days.
We did a beer tasting, along with dinner, at Griesbräu Brewery. If you ever get a chance to go, I highly recommend it. Great beers and a wonderful location.
Our waitress at the Edelweiss lodge recommended Mukkefuck, in Garmisch. We tried to go there for breakfast on a Monday, but they were closed. She said that it was a favorite place for many of the staff, and I really really wanted a menu (gotta love the name), but that will have to wait for next time.
