Great Meal at the new Benjamin's Steakhouse

I went in a little skeptical, but came out pleasantly surprised.We went on Saturday night and had a great meal! There were four of us, we had steak for 3 , and it was delicioous. I am, as are the other 3 we were with big Luger fans and it was right up there with quality. The menu was great and looked good for those non steak eaters as well. The apps, sides and desserts were also quite good. Nice atmoshphere solid service.
We will definitely be back.

Went there with my wife last week. First of all I don't like the fact it is valet only. The parking lot is big enough and is right there that it makes it unnecessary. The layout is the same as MJY and we sat near the fireplace which they kept. We shared the steak for 2 and had enough for 4 easily (we probably took more than half home although my wife doesn't eat a ton of meat). It was very good and cooked perfectly (medium rare). However, I did find the price to be quite steep. It was a little better than MJY was but at $40 or so more. The atmosphere is a little too stuffy for my tastes. All in all, I would go back if I really wanted good steak but it definitely won't be a frequent dining spot.

We had dinner there last nigth and i was very surprised. It was a Lugaresq quality steak and good sides. Its clearly not cheap, but its good to have a quality steak option in Westchester.

I stopped by yesterday I wanted to take a quick look around inside before making a reservation for family on Christmas day. I wanted to see the layout as my mother in law is disabled. The doors were unlocked so I walked in found the lights off and walked back out. There was a gentlemen in the parking lot speaking to a vendor. I asked him if I could take a quick peek inside and explained why. He replied no we are closed. I will call to see if re can be accommodated.

They are closed on Mondays. Open Tuesday through Sunday.

Checked out the menu just so I could see a steak listed for $85.

I'm intrigued by their "Mescaline" salad. Did not realize it was legal...

Is this what took the place of Mighty Joe Young's in Hartsdale?
Are the prices in line with Luger's?

We were supposed to go Saturday also, but ended up cancelling our plans. We will try it, but it did look to me that the prices were a bit higher than Peter Lugar. Steak for 2 was $84.95.

Wow, $84.95 for an a la carte steak--add apps, salad, sides, dessert, wine (wonder what kind of wine list they have?), not a recession buster meal! Is it THAT good??

The prices are in line with any other quality steakhouse in Westchester. It is like Peter Lugars without the attitude. Food is very good.

Well, we've had the cowboy rib eye for 2 at X20 which is served with bearnaise, creamed spinach and scalloped potatoes, for under $80...If the meat is Lugar quality, I would like to try it--what sides do you recommend, and are they large enough to share? Also what are the wine prices like? Thanks!

Yes thats where it is. they have valet parking now too. It was $175 a couple. 3 people had 2 drinks each and we ordered Steak for 3 which was plenty., 4 appetizers, 3 sides and 2 desserts.
