early 90's Mexican in Berkeley

It's been driving me crazy but there used to be a terrific small Mexican place at 1901 University (at MLK) back in the late 80's, early 90's. The space is now occupied by Udupi Palace. If anyone can remember the name of the restaurant it would be much appreciated. I must have eaten there 3x/week before double features at the old UC Theatre.
