Looking for Cajun in Tampa/St. Pete
I recall a few months ago, there was a thread re a Cajun restaurant in St. Pete. Of course, I lost it somewhere, but I'm going to Tampa for a few days and I'd sure like to find it! I tried searching, but nothing turned up.

re: Euphrosyne
On Friday, I tried Gulf Coast Po' Boys in Largo for take out.
I had the Dirty Roast Beef sandwich and a side order of Red Beans and Rice. The sandwich came with 2 sides, some potato salad and vinaigrette Cole slaw, and a tiny pickle. The bread was toasted, nice and crusty, the meat was tender, and reminded me of flavorful pot roast. The "debris" added a nice bit of flavor.
The sandwich was quite large, (plenty of meat,) as it should be for a $9 sandwich. The Cole slaw and potato salad were ok. Small helpings.
The Red Beans and rice (side order- $3,) was very tasty, big enough for a meal by itself, and a good value.
Overall, a little pricey, but good eats. I'll definitely go back. Sooner if I find coupons or a frequent diner card or such.-----

I have been here for 5 years and I still canot find an authentic Nawlins style place. The Bayou place - not a good choice- divey without the food to support it. I even desperately went to Harry's once YUK!!! There isn't REAL Food here. just chains!!! And places that deem themselves to be NEW YORK have been away from NY so long that they are still serving cold mini rolls. Who eats like that?.
