We're headed to Charleston for our Honeymoon in 2 months.
We need to know where to eat, drink and get good coffee.
I don't want to go anywhere cheesy.
So far McCraddy's, FIG and Husk are topping the list.
Where should we go? We're staying on Broad street.
Fast and French is a neat French restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner near your hotel. They will take care of your need for good coffee. Charleston Grill is one of the top restaurants in Charleston for fine dining. McCrady's is one of my favorite restaurants for fine dining. Mercato's and Peninsula Grill are also highly rated. You can hear some fine Jazz music at Mercato's. High Cotton is a great place for lunch or dinner with a lot of atmosphere. Husk is a new restaurant that just opened. Be sure to check it out for fine dining for lunch or dinner. For fun casual places I like Sweetwater Cafe and Jestines. Go to Pearlz and Amen for good seafood. Carolina's is another great choice for fine dining for lunch or dinner. The Sunday brunch is nice too.

You have a few good restaurants already selected!
For excellent coffee (but not really walking distance): Hope and Union
For good coffee (walking distance): Kudu and City Lights
Macaroon on John Street is an excellent French bakery - but avoid the gelato place next door.
For good French food - La Fourchette on King is my recommendation. Fast/French is just okay.
Cru Cafe would be a good place for a casual lunch/dinner. And if you have a car, I'd recommend Fat Hen on Johns Island about 30mins out. They do a great weekend brunch.
