Boulevard or Gary Danko? Thanks Chowhounders.

  1. I like both of them a lot. I think, though, that if I had just one night in San Francisco, I'd pick Boulevard, more for the atmosphere and vibe than the food. Gary Danko is much more sedate and less lively and not very unique to San Francisco.

      1. +1 for boulevard.
And get the dungeness crab salad for your app.

        1. Maybe some of these recent "one night SF" threads might be helpful:

However, it does appear you have difficulty deciding between solid choices on a limited schedule, given your recent questions:
          "1 night in Zaragoza, Spain"
          "Please help me choose!"
"3 Nights -- What about this line up?"

In any event, it's difficult to give great advice without knowing your preferences. Otherwise it's just an odd poll. It's natural to feel anxious about missing out on a limited schedule to a wonderful destination. If you can't spend two nights, might I suggest you do what I do: double up on meals.

Passing through on the way to southeast Asia for a month, Tried Danko before, liked it but wanted to try a new place. Money no object...don't like "stuffy" French but thanks anyway for the help.

Why don't you eat at COI, then?

Wait... you *been* to Danko, and not Boulevard, and you're asking which?
