Where to buy duck confit

With wicked crispy skin and fall off the bone meat. Anyone know a good place to pick some up?

Provence Delices sells them according to their site. That's the only thing there I found to be good at a recent dnner - found it to be better than Le Select and Midi's. But you have to do the crispy part yourself.

McEwan's has duck confit to take home but I can't remember the price.

White House Meats in the St. Lawerence Market sells individual vac packed confit legs from Quebec, about $9 I think. They're good, and although the portion looks small the meat is very rich. They can be broiled to get crisp, but watch carefully.

Are you looking for dine-in, take out, or take home and re-heat? Most of the high end butchers do duck confit, usually from 6 to 9 dollars a leg. The crispiness comes down to how you reheat it. A little bit of time under the broiler helps if you don't have a torch.

Try Healthy Butcher, Cumbrae, Gilead, Cavaillon (call ahead, not sure of their prices). Chabichou sell a nice Cassoulet in a large mason jar if you want something good to add it to.
