cafes with ocean view?

Yesterday, a short drive delivered me to the Chit Chat Cafe in Pacifica, a wonderful little place with a view of the sea and a small town vibe a world away from Silicon Valley. I think I may become a regular there.

And then I wondered what other ocean viewing cafes I might enjoy. Any recommendations for coastal cafes, from SF down to ... Santa Cruz? (Maybe such jewels are everywhere and only I am sadly unaware. Please enlighten me.)

I like Louis' in SF. It's a diner though, not quite a cafe. Also Java Beach on irving in the sunset, and you can sit outside.

The primary virtue of Beach Chalet is the view. But I would not call it a cafe. Still, for coastal views, its a winner.

There is a Betty's Ocean View Diner in Berkeley, or was; I haven't been in that part of town for a while.

It's still there and thriving, but it doesn't have an ocean view--or a bay view for that matter. I think that Ocean View is/was the name of the neighborhood where Bette's is located.

How about Sam's Chowder House in Half Moon Bay? Haven't been back there myself for ages.

Heading north of SF, try the Sandpiper, overlooking the harbor in Bodega Bay.

La Costanera, south of Devil's Slide, is on a beautiful beach and has delicious modern Peruvian food and cocktails.
