Belgian in Chicago

  • 4

Does anyone know if there are any Belgian restaurants, or restaurants serving Belgian food, in Chicago? I am looking for something other than waffles and beer.

Thanks!

  1. Go to "chicago restaurant menus" which will offer you a choice based on ethnicity---left-hand side of screen. Belgian is listed. I clicked onto it and two restaurants came up. I'm not familiar with either, but this will give you a start at least.

    1. Hopleaf is a Belgian-style bar & restaurant. Here is the Link: http://hopleaf.com/menus/dinner/
Note that I understand that no one under age 21 is allowed because of the type of liquor license. (I've not eaten there but it has a very favorable buzz on this Board.

      1. I recently read about a new place, Leopold, that's supposed to be opening in West Town (old Relax space) some time this month. http://312diningdiva.blogspot.com/201... Sounds worth checking out when it does.
There's also a Belgian bakery in the Gold Coast that is supposed to be good - Hendrickx on E Walton.
