vacuum sealing meat

Hello all, I'm receiving a bunch of meat from a farm and I will be storing it in my deep freezer. I would like to vacuum seal the meat as there is a lot of it and I may not cut to some until several months from now. I don't want to invest in a vacuum sealer; does anyone know if one can rent a vacuum sealer in Toronto or surrounds?
Thanks.

The other nice thing with vacuum sealing is you can marinate the meat before you seal it and the marinade really get's drawn into the meat.

FYI Canadian Tire has a FoodSaver on sale this week, sadly my local one at Leslie and Lakeshore was totally sold out.

Definately buy yourself a unit and get a good one like the FoodSaver vacuum sealer it will definately pay for itself in the long run. you can always source the bags from cosco, or walmart though i would suggest getting a unit from costco if possible since you get a better deal for one there. th nice thing is that the bags used are thick and freezer ready and your food lasts so much longer that way.. as for renting one i dont know how sanitary that would be since any food left in a improperly cleaned machine could contain bacteria and you dont want that on your food..

I doubt you can rent one. It's not that expensive and it's a worthwhile investment. Definitely goes with a Costco membership and buying bulk.

Don't know about renting one, but I bought one on Craigslist and haven't looked back.
you'll use it for more than just this particular situation and waste less food.

I've looked around for bags, and find Costco has the best price.
