Does anyone remember the Mexican Burro on Gandy?
My parents used to go to Macdill once a month to stock up and they would always stop at the Mexican Burro on Gandy. They would have lunch and bring home a pint of their homemade sauce. I would love to recreate it but am clueless. It was hot and similar in taste to Srirachi but not as spicy so you could dip chips in it. If anyone remembers let me know. Thanks.
My husband and I owned the Burro. I just gave my daughter the recipe for the "taco sauce" that we made at the Burro and she is attempting to gather all the ingredients in order to make a batch (we made 5 gallons at a time), therefore it is difficult to reduce the recipe in order to make a small jar.
