Christmas day in Napa

roxie Nov 27, 2010 03:12 PM

We have relatives arriving from the East Coast who will be in Napa by early afternoon. They are looking for a place for dinner-not traditional Christmas Feast. They will be staying @ the Westin in Napa. Does anyone know of a good place to eat in the area of that hotel. I had sent them suggestions which included Meadowood and Terra but they were not interested. Thanks in advance.

About 8 miles to Cantinetta Piero in Yountville with openings on OpenTable. Unfortunately Ubuntu is not open

I was going to suggest SolBar, but if they aren't interested in Meadowood, they probably wouldn't want to go there either.

Do you know what their objections to either Meadowood or Terra were? They seemed like great choices to me...

They objected to the $80 pp in the Meadowood Cafe. I have not heard the specifics on their objections to Terra.

        BTW~Solbar looks great to me.

I hazard to guess that for Christmas day, meals under $75 are going to be hard to find. To make it easier on the restaurants, many are going to prepare extra fancy prix fixe offerings and it wouldn't surprise me if they were even north of $100...
