Union Square Market

Some questions . Being that I'm planning a Sunday trip by auto will I be able to find street parking? We do enjoy long walks so distance for the most part isn't an issue. Is there a product list on line ? Does anyone know if American Ginseng is sold at this market ? Thank You

  1. The Union Square market is held on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday is not a market day.

These market links have been helpful to me in the past-

    1. I believe I saw ginseng at the market last Wednesday.

      1. Yes, you should be able to find street parking. Particularly a couple of blocks north of the Market, off of Park Avenue, in the low 20s. On Saturdays you don't need to feed the muni meter.

I was at the market today. I didn't see ginger, but I wasn't looking for it either. The foodstuff on offer isn't that great anymore. Just from last week when we were there the offerings are less, the veggies smaller. Yet, still some good root options, some greens, apples, etc. Good luck.

We always get a spot on Saturdays on the north side of 14th Street, east of 5th.

OP is asking about Sunday market (there is none) and about ginseng!

For ginseng, check Rick Bishop's Mountain Sweet Berry Farm on Wednesdays and Saturdays--somehow I think I saw it there last week.

The street parking is free only on Sundays -- parking on Saturdays requires "feeding" the meter.

              2. The Greenmarket is closed/not there on Sundays.

But the holiday shops should be open.
