Quince or Jardiniere?

Hello, SF chowhounds! I'm going to be visiting your fair city in two weeks. Due to a silly error, I've got reservations for two different restaurants on the same night, Quince and Jardiniere. I've never eaten at either of them and both came recommended by friends.

Thoughts on which you'd go with?

Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks very much for the advice. We're going to Quince.

I would read up on the current state of Jardiniere. There have been some chef-shuffle-reorg postings, I think.

I'd go to Quince over Jardiniere, but in a similar price range I would go to Ame or Boulevard over either of them.

I would definitely go with Quince; Jardiniere is quite good but Quince is more inventive and interesting -- also the pastas at Quince are just amazing.

I absolutely agree. The chestnut tagliatelle with Paine farm squab sugo and aceto balsamico tradizionale is wonderful.
