Cadence is good though not exactly short order type. Not that it isn't fast but the food is better than basic diner food.
I'm fed up with the lines at Lazy Loaf and Kettle but I had lunch at the Extreme Bean which is half a block from Lazy Loaf and Kettle on Bowness Rd and it was good. They might be a good bet for breakfast.
There is a more diner style cafe on Bowness Rd and 79th st. The name escapes me but it is in the strip mall facing south on the north side of Bowness Rd. Someone on here said something about it being a greasy spoon but I've never eaten there.
Finally, Angel Drive-In on 85 st and 47 ave NW serves breakfast. Their burgers are ok but I've only had lunch.

Cadence Coffee east of Bow Cycle is the only place I know of down there. I'd be interested to hear of any other spots in the area though.

re: nonlinear
Cadence isn't for a quick breakfast, it's a sit-down place, sort of a local hangout. They have the usual egg, bacon and breakfast sandwich combos, home-baked goods (the pies are grerat) and they have a lunch menu, they are closed at 3:00 pm. They have nice, juicy, massive cinnamon buns every Sunday, not sure about Saturday. Nice owners, they used to play in a rock band.
