Brisket/tendon noodles at Great Taste
Damn, dude, these are good. Great Taste (Boston Chinatown) serves perfectly tender braised brisket and tendon. They add enough of these meats in brown sauce to give the soup a good flavor without being overpowering. I believe the default noodle is wonton-style noodle, but I got lai fun (medium-thickness round rice noodle, cooked perfectly al dente, lots of Q to balance the tenderness of the tendon). Pieces of boiled green vegetable complete the dish, which for about $6.50 is absolutely packed with stuff. This was delicious with their best-in-Boston milk tea ($2). Drinks are best purchased by walking over to the bakery side after placing your food order with the waitress, or else you risk getting your drink order miscommunicated or delayed. I will say that the often comcally awful service was a bit friendlier and more attentive today than it has been.
