Dim sum with the relatives today/Triple 8?

We have one more day with the Kentucky folks--so we thought we'd take them to Chinatown. We usually go to Dim Sum Go Go but I think they'd prefer the carts-- how is Triple 8 these days?

I'm looking for a good dim sum place to take some relatives. How was the food and overall experience at Triple 8?

We also have a good time there--the food is good (not great) but a super fun experience--

Yes, the East Broadway ambiance may make up for the food.

We ended up going to Ping's. Food was fine. I was pretty busy hosting and didn't really have a chance to focus on the food, but my relatives seemed to enjoy the fare. Thanks for the feedback on Triple 8. Maybe we'll try it another time.

hi....i haven't been to Triple 8 recently, but in the past i've really enjoyed it, and was my go-to spot for a long time...it definitely more of a rootsy East/less-touristy Chinatown experience than Dim Sum GoGo or Jing Fong...can i totally vouch for the quality these days?...no...but i'd say go for it!....(and report back :)
