ANOTHER Cocktail.
Here's a cocktail I concoted I'm calling it
Fruity Delight.
1 1/2 oz Mount gay dark rum
1 oz applejack
1 oz Cherry Heering
1/4 oz skky ginger vodka or Canton
1 oz lemonade
Pour into cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Pour into cocktail glass and sip.
I like this drink. I think I can take out the lemonade and next time just use lemon juice.
I can taste the cherries, the applejack and the rum. The ginger gives it a nice snap afterward. Like all my drinks it errs on the sweet side. Tweak it all you want.

For consistency I would omit the lemonade, and use lemon juice and simple syrup.

Next time when I have some real lemons and some sugar to make simple syrup. I always enjoy your comments thanks for the input.

It sounds like a nice cocktail. How does the Skyy Ginger really compare to the Domaine de Canton liqueur? I haven't found a single flavored vodka that could compare to a high quality liqueur. (Besides the regular Canton, I have a special release bottle of the Canton that was given me by the distiller, it's extra spicy and isn't for sale)

I thought it tasted nice, maybe a bit to subtle if you are looking for real gingery kick. Next time I make it I'm using Canton it's just the corner liquor store doesn't carry it. I was lucky to find Cherry Heering there! I wonder what the extra spicy canton would do to the cocktail? Hmmm...
