Hi,

Anyone know where I can find La Quercia pancetta in SF? The meat counter at the Ferry Building sells their guanciale, but not their pancetta.

Cheers

Can't answer your question, but which meat counter has La Quercia guanciale -- Golden Gate Meat (the one that's perpendicular to the long spine of the building)?

      Yes, sorry. Golden Gate Meat.

The last two times I've been in there they've had some La Quercia guanciale in with the bacons and hams. If you don't see it, ask, as they've also had some extra in the back.

They make their own pancetta (which is excellent) so they don't carry La Quercia's. I'm looking for the latter because it is nitrate-free and my wife gets migraines from anything with nitrites or nitrates.

You might check with Whole Foods, as they have carried La Quercia products in the past, and may still.
