Fauchon Products and Bonne Maman Products in Toronto?

Hi All! I just came back from a vacation in gorgeous Paris (my first time!) and I visited the spectacular Fauchon... Among the many things my husband and I purchased was a jar of the oranges, citron and bergamot jam. We had some of it for breakfast the first morning after our return to Toronto.... We are absolutely enchanted with and addicted to this jam!

One night we had the munchies and popped down to the Epicerie near our hotel and bought some Bonne Maman Madeleines; pure heaven! We bought a few bags to take home with us; however all good things have to come to an end and we are dreading trying to find more of these treasures in Toronto.

I'd be ever-so-grateful if you could help me with locating these products!

A Bien-tot,

Carolyn

  1. Holt's at the Bloor store has Fauchon preserves and teas. I mostly recall seeing gift baskets/packages, but I think there was a wall shelf where they had them individually. It's in the basement level where they have other food and seasonal gift stuff.

There is a store on Yonge Street, almost across from Sporting Life, that sells all things french but can't recall the name. Maybe someone else can chime in on this one.

    2. I have seen Fauchon items at Pusateri's on Bay St., on the shelves in their bakery/sweets area.

      1. I have seen the Bonne Maman jams at a lot of places (i.e even grocery stores, but I forget which chaines) but don't think I have seen their madeleines

Bonne Maman jams are available at most major retailers in the GTA: Loblaws, Sobey's (on sale this month!), and Metro. I think even Wal Mart has it now.

You can get Bonne Maman tartellet cookies in specialty stores in Quebec, but they are not available in the rest of Canada. I asked last time I was there, and they said because the packaging on the cookies is not bilingual...

I also read that there is a store in the Distillery District dedicated to all things French. Maybe you will find it there too....

The place in the Distillery District, if I'm not mistaken, carries Quebecois (not French) products.

          1. The Bonne Maman strawberry jam is my favorite. Love that stuff. Even at $5.99 a jar...

                  Oui! Mon ami!

              2. There is another "french" store in the Beach, called Luberon. They had jars of Bonne Maman in the window about a month ago. I think they are more typically a houseware store, but they Bonne Maman was there last month.

As mentioned though, its on sale at Sobey's right now for $3.99. I stocked up : )

                2. You can get Bonne Maman jams at Whole Foods.

                  1. I love the Bonne Maman madeleines too, and they are perfect for breakfast, snack, or dessert. Does anyone know where I might be able to find them around here?

                    1. Try Food Depot International Grocers at 14 Jutland Road, Toronto (416) 253-5257, they carry all import goods from all over Europe, but this one is in west Toronto/Etobicoke, not downtown Toronto, don't mix it up.
And like Europe, they don't open Sunday

                      1. I like several Fauchon blends of loose tea so whenever im in paris i buy enough to last (They do very well in a cold dry place). Sometimes i do see fauchon products in Pusateri's and Holt's, but at a MASSIVE markup (an 8 euro tin of tea for $30 + tax). I think if you are buying in bulk, its worth considering just ordering the product online from their website and having it shipped here...

                        1. I walked by Luberon in the Beach, and their chalboard out front says WE NOW SELL FAUCHON. I did not check how much it is , but that is another spot you can shop for it at. They have Bonne Maman too.
