How can I make my pears ripen faster?

Angelina Nov 24, 2010 04:53 AM

I have bartllet pears I bought on Monday, and I thought by today they would be soft, but I was wrong! I need to make my cranberry chutney tonight, and these pears have a LONG way to go!!

put them in a brown paper bag with a ripe banana. Won't be ripe by tonight, though...maybe tomorrow.

        The apple will work miracles.

If the pears don't get soft, make apple-cranberry chutney...
