Easy recipe to make lemon liqueur?
My local Italian restaurant gave me their recipe for house-made limoncello and I found it easy:
- Peels from (15) lemons...NO white pith or you'll have bad results
- Two 750ml bottles of 100 proof vodka...I used Seagrams blue label
- Simple syrup to taste
Infuse the peels in vodka for at least a week. Strain. Add simple syrup (one cup white sugar to one cup hot water) to taste.
Return to bottles. Put in freezer for future enjoyment....it won't last long, though!
