Downtown Dining

I am visiting Houston in a couple of weeks to go to the ballet and we'd like to have a nice meal downtown somewhere close-ish to the Wortham. I've gotten some suggestions, but need help sorting through them. Would you recommend any of these places? Are there others I don't know about? Thanks so much! Recommended to me:

What about Reef? We all love seafood. Samba Grille looks like a little too much meat for us.

Do you need to be able to walk to the Wortham or are you able to take a cab somewhere?

In that case, I've heard great things about Reef. Also would suggest you take a look at t'afia and Feast, which are a bit further south of downtown than Reef, but no more than an additional 5 minutes or so by car.

I wouldn't do any of those.

Vic & Anthonys for steak, or Samba Grille (which is right across the street from the Wortham) would be better.
