Downtown Dining

I am visiting Houston in a couple of weeks to go to the ballet and we'd like to have a nice meal downtown somewhere close-ish to the Wortham. I've gotten some suggestions, but need help sorting through them. Would you recommend any of these places? Are there others I don't know about? Thanks so much! Recommended to me:

Aqua
Voice
Strip House
Post Oak Grill
Damian’s Cucina Italiana

I wouldn't do any of those.

Vic & Anthonys for steak, or Samba Grille (which is right across the street from the Wortham) would be better.

Do you need to be able to walk to the Wortham or are you able to take a cab somewhere?

Thanks for the suggestions. We're driving, actually, so it doesn't have to be in walking distance.

In that case, I've heard great things about Reef. Also would suggest you take a look at t'afia and Feast, which are a bit further south of downtown than Reef, but no more than an additional 5 minutes or so by car.

I'm very interested in Feast. I didn't know about distance but if it isn't much farther, it may be worth the extra minutes. Thanks so much!

What about Reef? We all love seafood. Samba Grille looks like a little too much meat for us.
