25th Birthday Celebrations

Hi Everyone,

A little last minute, I know, but I'm in need of a restaurant for dinner this Saturday for 10 girls. The food has to be very good, not too expensive, but still worthy of a 25th birthday. Must be in downtown core.

The following day I need a restaurant to have my birthday brunch with my family (5 total). Food should be excellent, no buffets, and money isn't an issue. Can be yorkville, danforth, anywhere in TO.

  1. What do you define as the downtown core and what are you willing to pay for a main course?

For brunch, I'd say either Globe or Globe Earth. A bit upscale (the folks will be impressed) and they take reservations.

    1. Beast is doing a great Brunch these days. If you let us know how much you want to spend and if you have any food pref's that would be helpful for your Sat night rec but off the top I think a place like Sidecar, or Buca would be fitting but it might be hard to get a reso for 10 at this point.

      1. I would almost say make a booking at Earth for dinner - nice space, not too expensive. Though check the menu to see if it fits your budget. I feel like you could get a res there more easily than any of the downtown locations for this Saturday. Plus, there's room and you're not banging elbows with anyone.

Though, both Globe and Globe Earth are great spots for a brunch too. The Hoof Cafe is always a personal favourite, but no reservations and squishy. I've had good brunches at Frank at the AGO, but reports are all over the place on that one.

        1. Moroco chocolat in yorkville is good for brunch.

          1. With your family, do you want a good meal or an event? Bigger portions or small ones?
