Sufganiyot?

So seeing the Chow Hanukkah highlight of this Israeli Jelly Donut, I am wondering if anyone knows of a good place in the East Bay that serves/makes these this season?

They aren't too hard to make if you're so inclined, and it's fun for a group to roll, fill, and pass them to the fryer. I have a recipe from the NY Times, http://www.nytimes.com/2005/12/21/din....

ISTR that rwo mentioned (a long time ago) that Saul's in Berkeley makes them.

I called Sauls last week about their Sufganiyot and they do sell them but Grand Bakery in Oakland makes them. I could be wrong but I think Saul's only has certain days when they sell them so I would check first

The one time I had them from Saul's I was seriously disappointed. They weren't filled at all, just room temperature fried dough. I like the ones from Grand Bakery. I've served jelly donuts from Krispy Kreme and everyone's been happy as well!
