Leaf Lard- Where to buy?

So I am told leaf lard makes THE best pie crust. does anyone know where to purchase it in manhattan or brooklyn? i heard flying pigs sells it as the greenmarket but they're only there on saturdays so i missed the boat on that one. thank you!

Dickson's Farmstand in Chelsea Market will have it.

Blu's family farm - also sells it at the greenmarket - there Wednesday & Saturday.

thanks all- i called flying pigs and you're right they are not usually there on weds but will be there this wed and "have lots of leaf lard", lol.

Flying Pigs is at the Union Square market on Wednesday as well. There is another farm that sells leaf lard unrendered. They sell bacon, sausages, and other pork products that they keep in a white freezer. You can pick it out yourself usually. I forget which farm it is, but they sell produce as well (and its mainly what they sell).

I thought Flying Pigs were on Wednesdays (definitely recall seeing them there in the summer) as well but the Greenmarket web site indicates they are not (perhaps they switched days as they are now there Fri and Sat).

Also a lot of farm stands that are typically Saturdays only consider Thanksgiving week a special week so they'll come on Wednesday too. I'd call Flying Pigs and ask if this is the case.
