Dinner out for 12 - Norwalk Area ??
Looking for a good, casual restaurant to take our visiting family to on Saturday night. There will be 12 of us, including an infant.
Don't want to travel too far from Norwalk.
Already considering the Brewhouse and Fat Cat (but feel Fat Cat's atmosphere isn't conducive for conversations with a big group - gets noisy in there).
Any suggestions??

You might want to consider the GingerMan - better food than Brewhouse in my opinion and they have a few spots where they could combine tables to accomodate a larger group. I have never seen it be as loud as Fat Cat either so should be easier to talk. Strada 18 is another option - they have a large table in back so would not be as noisy as it gets in the front of the restaurant. It might be trickier to get the reservation though. Either way, I personally love both places.

I think Strada 18 is very noisy and in the back youre near the restroom which is a high traffic area. Not sure of your price range but I went (begrudgingly and against my will) to Tuscan Oven on Main Ave and was pleasantly surprised. It is still Italian but is now a "farm to table" restaurant and the food has improved a great deal since the last time I went. Also consider BJ Ryans.
