New Thai Restaurant Coming to Chestnut Hill!

I was on Craigslist and found this post:

Need entire staff for new Thai restaurant opening soon (January-February) in Chestnut Hill. Chef, manager, waitress, waiter, bus person, dishwasher....full time and part time. Send resume with work history and phone number. Chef must have experience in a Thai restaurant.

      Well, we've been three times now, and all three times we have been sorely disappointed. I rarely agree 100% with Craig Laban, but I agree 110% with him based on the review this past week, so I will just post the link to his review instead of trying to recount the multiple disappointments. Sigh...we had such hopes....

        As long as the swelling crowds continue to overwhelm both indoor and outdoor seating, they must be doing something right. From Craig's description, it sounds like they were sorely understaffed front and back. I'll try an early lunch someday and hope for better.

          Good luck - I have been for lunch once and dinner twice, and it has bever been crowded. We're just so desparate for passable thai food in the neighborhood, otherwise we would not have given them the third try. They're very sweet people, though, so I'd like to see them succeed.

      Opening a restaurant without a chef? Talk about cart before the horse. What gives here?

        Maybe they meant cooks, not chef? Cooks aren't listed in the ad.

          From the Insider: "Then there's the space in the Top of the Hill Plaza (8705 Germantown) last occupied by Shundeez (we old-timers remember it as Roller's original spot). Atchara and Steve Cooley are developing it as a pan-Asian BYOB called Thai Kuu and they hope to open in February. Menu will be predominantly Thai -- as is her background -- but one feature will be hot stones delivered to the table so customers can cook their own meals."

          I don't know if this is the one you're talking about.
