Driving down 95 in FL - any suggestions?

Hey all! We are doing a long road trip down south along 95. We had planned on hitting a bunch of BBQ along the way and then probably Cuban in Miami, but our latest itinerary actually places most of our daytime driving in Florida. So, what places would you recommend for literally ANY cuisine, so long as it's amazing, along 95? BBQ, Southern, anything really. The one thing I'd like to avoid is generic seafood- we'd love a really seasoned blue crab joint, for example, but please, no coconut shrimp :)

Any thoughts?

    1. If you've never had rock shrimp, give Dixie Crossroads a call & see if they're serving them. Order the shrimp broiled, with melted butter on the side. The place is close to Exit 220 on I-95.

      Dixie Crossroads
1475 Garden St, Titusville, FL 32796

The Metro Diner in the San Marco neighborhood of Jacksonville is not far off 95. Excellent breakfast and lunch.

agreed- fried chicken and waffles are extraordinary!

      2. Get off I 95 at Exit 353B and go E on Union about 7 blocks to Pearl Street. Take a left and go one block to Jenkins BBQ for outstanding southern BBQ for lunch or dinner.

        Jenkin's Quality BBQ @ 830 North Pearl Street, Jacksonville, FL 904 - 353 - 6388.

        1. Right off I-95 at the Stuart/indiantown exit: La Fourchetta. Amazing Italian.
